Maggie & Boy (Texas) - AKBASH PAIR-adopted

Maggie and Boy are a bonded two year old pair of proven working Akbash dogs. They are currently guarding sheep on a 5,000 acre ranch. They have no known behavior problems, are up to date on vaccinations, spayed and neutered, Heartworm negative and on preventative, good with other dogs, and very friendly to people.
Once the baby lambs they guarded grew up they began to roam so their owner wishes to rehome them. They are tended to only every few days and their owner suspects they need more human contact.

Maggie and boy would be excellent smaller farm guardians where someone is home to tend to them. Livestock Guardian Dogs often stick around much better if they have a good relationship with their owners and a routine is established daily. Feeding time at the same time, walks around the perimeter. They look forward to this ritual and will not want to miss it!

If you are interested in this excellent pair of Akbash dogs please contact Akbash rescue coordinator Janet Davis cell# 510 410-0149 (CA time) or e-mail straughie@comcast.net
