CALIFORNIA GIRL NEEDS FOSTER!!!-BLANCA ADOPTED

This lovely Akbash/Great Pyrenees cross needs foster urgently. Blanca is looking for a home of her own and foster is urgently needed while an adopter is found. She is two to three years old, spayed healthy and up to date on all shots.

Click the "read more" link below to find out how Blanca came to be in need of a home!

Someone noticed a Craig's list posting for a free dog. People that do rescue work and care about dogs often keep an eye out for these type of postings. If dogs are advertised as free, then no screening is often going on, and a dog can fall into very bad hands!
The area where Blanca was being given away has a lot of dog-fighting. People like white dogs for the "bait dogs". The bait dog is the one used to train other dogs to fight. They like the white dogs so the blood shows up!

This good doggie samaritan called the owner and told him he should not give her away as she could easily end up with the dog-fighters in the area. The owner suggested she take the dog then!
So she did....Blanca was kept in a kennel most of her life. Her owner bred her to a St. Bernard and since he had a new female St. Bernard pup, there was no need for Blanca any longer!

She was taken to temporary foster and taught how to walk on a leash, spayed, given vaccinations and had some time as a companion dog for the first time in her life.

Blanca is for adoption and needs a home. Right now she is in real need of a foster home  until a permanent adopter is found.
